    Borrachudos!

... I was greeted by Cintia. Her English was perfect, she showed me my room with a shower and I unpacked and had a little nap. It was ridiculously hot in Ilhabela. I woke up and had a shower and headed out to see the gorgeous little town. I had a big feed at a local restaurant, fish and chips it was delicious. I walked along the beach and enquired with a few tour operators on local things to see and do. I planned to go scubadiving but I was ...

Got an early start, as tropical rains & sunsets are coming earlier now, on the hunt for a better place to stay – no breakfast (café do manhana) here but at least there was decent coffee & wifi. Upon arrival we immediately hit the water, but we had options, we could either jump in the pool or the ocean. We of course chose both during our stay. The week consisted of lots of games and swimming and my personal favorite paddle ball in the pool.

    Not your average weekend.

... I felt so bad for her! Luckily I managed to avoid them...

The highlight was definitely early morning paddle boarding on the last day and having 3 or 4 turtles swimming around the boards – that was pretty cool! It was a great weekend although I did get a 'little’ (ok a lot, I would say close to tomato coloured) burnt, not really surprising given my milk bottle complexion I suppose... (Long bus rides are not enjoyable with a burnt ...
