... The bus finally arrived at Sao Sebastiao. I got off the bus and asked where the ferry is. I walked about 3 kilometres it was 7am in the morning. There was nobody in sight. I felt a little intimidated by this town. I arrived at the ferry and noticed a few other backpackers among many locals. When I arrived at the port of Ilhabela, I got on a local bus and asked the location of the airbnb place where I was staying. The time was 7.20 am. I ...

Seems the island, Ilha Bela, was still over 90% full, and with no tourist info open (not by 10am) and nicer places in the old town either overpriced or unsure, gave up hope and risked another night here.

For New Years we had an amazing experience. It was definitely a New Years I don't think any of us will ever forget. We all got ready and put on our white around 8 in the evening and went out to our beach front grass area but there really weren't too many people on the beach. We returned inside to play some pool and then went back outside ...

... I felt so bad for her! Luckily I managed to avoid them...

The highlight was definitely early morning paddle boarding on the last day and having 3 or 4 turtles swimming around the boards – that was pretty cool! It was a great weekend although I did get a 'little’ (ok a lot, I would say close to tomato coloured) burnt, not really surprising given my milk bottle complexion I suppose... (Long bus rides are not enjoyable with a burnt ...
