Madrid to Salvador - hours of fun!
... hits you as you come off the plane is the smell. It really does smell tropical, like those butterfly jungles, or reptile houses you get in the zoo. It was also very humid and the air felt thick. It took us another hour to get through customs, you need to have an entry/exit stamp on your passport when travelling in Brazil. I honestly would have left Brazil until last if I knew how much hassle it would be!
