We eventually hailed one down, and fortunately I had got my bearings of the city, so I knew we were going in the right direction! We arrived at the terminal to take a bus to Mangaratiba, which left at 5am. We got tickets, and then used one of the Bradesco ATMs to get out enough money ...

    A few thoughts...
As I stared at the sea, I began to have a feeling which had not come my way in a long time. The sound of the waves, the great seemingly endless expanse of the water, the gravitational color change from turquoise to blue to deep blue and then back to blue where the ocean meets the sky as though it had been kissed by the heavens......
