      ... car & up the road to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). The most beautiful campus & again on the Hudson River. Plenty of students walking around between classes, all wearing the check pants, white tunic & clogs. It was also super busy because there was a graduation ceremony. We had lunch at the Apple Pie Bakery cafe, I had quiche & salad & Fray had pumpkin soup. We shared a coconut, salted caramel brioche donut for dessert. ...

      ... which were all closed up this time but were being used when I did this same trip in the summer of 2012. We also had free wi fi once we crossed into the US which is always great & the train had a viewing carriage which we each visited for a while. If you ever visit this area & you have time, the train is terrific.       ... times. And, the dimness also helped keep the furnishings from deteriorating. I guess much of the furniture was donated along with the house and the library. I am a bit hazy on this now. I did notice how rather modest the upstairs furnishings were.
