So we decided to do one week each in England, Scotland, and Ireland. We would use a rental car and drive between locations and have preplanned stops at first class hotels in each area.

So the time came and we had a wonderful flight on British Airways out of Orlando Florida to Gatwick London Airport. First stop was in Exeter, England at the Rougemont Thistle hotel for two nights. We got a wonderful ...

... My other favorite thing was a beautifully executed frieze in the library, done by an American Lt. during the Coastguard occupation of the house. It was about 5 ft. in height at the top of 3 and 1/2 walls in the library, depicting the American war experience for this group of soldiers from their deployment to their return home.
