Stranded in St Moritz
... and pavements. It was like climbing over mountains at times.
I had the normal Swiss breakfast which seems to consist of bread, rolls and cold meats and cheese. One thing they seem to offer for the bread is chocolate spread but they never seem to have butter!! Do the Swiss not eat such things as butter??
After breakfast I went outside to see the surrounding area. A group of poor little ducks seemed to be rather lost ...
Sunshine and snow in the Alps
... geared up for freezing temperatures as I am right now!!!
As I make my way towards Chur its nothing but wonderful green landscapes all the way with beautiful snow covered mountains all around. Some of the towns I passed through were beautifully kept places with typically built Swiss cottages etc.
As it is out of season at the moment many of these towns resembled ghost towns with next to nothing going on in them at all.

Chur and the train trip to Morges
A pretty rugged night sleep but we know that tonight we will be back in Morges in beds that we will sleep well. A few hours to kill so we look around Chur, a lovely place and we note a Gondola - aerial this time - thinking this could be a good thing to do. So off we head. This gondola goes 1.6k up so a pretty good sight we get of the Chur valley and the surrounding mountains. As the gondola climbs the cows below us ring out a tune via their bells as they graze ...
Not much in Lichtenstein
... scenery, although most of it was blocked by a thick wall of cloud. After less than an hour I was in Lidau, a town on the edge of the big Lake Bodensee in the south of Germany (the lake borders Germany, Austria and Switzerland!). Here I stopped for a coffee and a stroll and a sit. It's a lovely little town with a part of it on a small island which is where I had my chai latte. ...
Davos
... a quick stop for some snacks up at the top which is when Tan and I decided to hike up about another hundred meters or so to the apex while Megs and Rod continued on down the other side of the mountain. We got amazing 360-degree views from the top and I was glad that we had made the little detour. We soon caught up with Rod and Megs again.
On the descent down we began to catch glimpses of Davosee and within about 40 minutes, we were alongside the lake ...
