... 8220;Irish Whiskey in a china coffee cup” because that’s what I got. Oh well, Des thought it was funny, and helped me drink it, under sufferance I’m sure. A tiny little kiddie was hanging around begging, so I asked her to give me a big smile in return for some money, she was cute with lovely soft curly hair and very clean. She had Princess embroidered on her jacket, I thought she was too.

I had my shoes polished for 8 pesos while ...

Buenos Airies Impressions - Christie

... would become a regular haunt during our stay, due to the rapid service, filling meals and the proximity to our new school.

Our walk took us through Palermo and Belgrano, quite prosperous barrios, or suburbs, downhill to a very large park, adjacent to a tennis club, a polo club and a horsetrack. Wandering for as long as the children found tolerable, we realized this was a popular spot for joggers, who appeared to move at a pace roughly equivalent to our own.

I imagine, being able to Tango, is also an incredibly good way of improving the odds of landing a decent girl (if you´d seen how unbelievably gorgeous the girl was - and how ****ing old and ugly the man was (lucky *******) - you´d see what I mean.)

Buenos Aires has a lot of European architecture, good bars, live music etc. A lot like London really. Hanging out in BA

... we took with us as we wandered to view the Casa Rodada ... and the pagan-templesque cathedral - still thinks that very odd. Back down Av. Florida, to our hotel, where the kids at dinner, since that was the only food service join open, while Paul and I had (excellent) drinks. Lots of laughs, till all grew tired, and we went upstairs to sleep, knowing that we have an early morning tomorrow.

Busy in Buenos Aires

... I have yet to see. What made it so interesting was that it was also a lesson about the origins of Tango...unfortunately it was in Spanish but we did our best to translate. So after each bit of information the couple would demonstrate a different style of tango or a type of dance that evolved i nto tango. And also at one point (from what I could understand) spent some time mocking the popular idea of tango all dramatic poses and pacing, then proceeded to dance a ...

... call themselves) don't go out to eat until 10:00pm & they are still turning up to eat at 12:00. This is quite sensible as it has cooled off by then & is still quite pleasant to sit outside. We didn't have a steak the first night, however the second night we went to a traditional "parrilla" (grill) & I had the most enormous rib-eye steak - it completely covered my plate, was 1.5 inches thick & melted in the mouth. It's interesting that they ...

Then before the arrival hall, look to your left. There are at least three remise companies (Tienda Leon, World, VP) located there who will provide private car transport to the city. From TripAdvisor we knew that all accept credit cards, the price will be around 100 pesos (the prices keep going ...

Back in BA!!!!

... on one side. But the great thing about the ground is how close the fans are to the pitch. They must be less than 15ft from the players. I have missed the football season, which I'm really gutted about. I have been lucky enough to watch football in some great stadiums in Europe. But the fans here are crazy and I would have loved to watch a game even if it was a friendly!!! Guess I will have to come back here!!! Managed to get on the pitch, sit in the ...
