... they follow you even when you say no. No matter, we walk straight towards the lovely cathedral, in total awe of the architecture of this place. And then you turn around and realise that there are alot of lovely buildings in this square. There is one that looks like the Arc de Triumph, a Museum space, and, off in the distance I can see a statue (sure its got to be someone old and famous, so worth a look later on).

... and maybe a couple of other smaller vessels. Maybe it gets busier in summer proper? In any case, it felt kind of surreal to be on the water, in Italy, watching the world go by. Loved it.

... hours we rode the funicular back down and went for a walk along the lake shore. Cue silly selfie time. The lake is quite nice but there's a lot of debris in the water at this end. Mostly organic - bark, leaves and bits of twigs etc but it does make it look a bit muckier than we expected. As the weekend crowds had died down we went for a walk around in the old town. Lots of lovely old buildings with frescos painted on their walls, cute ...

... celsius... I don't blame her! Yet, for me it was like the peak of summer in geordieland, especially with the burning sun that lasts all day here. The afternoon on the second day was quite an experience! With my bike, I decided to check out the surrounding mountains and made my way up a hill ... 2,000 meters up a hill... By ten minutes into the mountain I had drained all my body's energy and 3/4 the way up I had to stop. In a very remote village I asked the locals how ...
