Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. If the Villa Barocco had been a mite gaudy in its presentation, the equally historic Convento Sant'Antonio was modern, but absolutely tasteful and entirely in keeping with the property. Our room was stylish and cultured, making excellent and imaginative use of the space. Our bathroom, which featured a bath ( something of a rarity on our travels ) was much heralded by my GLW.
