... the time it would take to get from point a to point b.   We had to back track a couple of time.  We hit the cabin that provided lunch around 2:30. I'll get back to our misadventures but first let me say that this first day of hiking provided us with magnificent views and great scenery.   Getting the donkeys to move was an experience.  At the cabin/restaurant/hostel we enjoyed polenta, one with cheese melted on top and the other with fried eggs. The party went on reasonably late and was a chilled out affair, we had a pavlova with the Australian flag on the top. For once there were three vegetarian families and the host family were the only meat eaters.
