    ... crossings in a morning - thank Christ there are no more border controls.

    This is supposed to be one of the most scenic drives in Europe. However, apart from rolling meadows, we didn't see any mountains due to the low cloud. We also had to be ultra careful riding due to the greasy road surfaces.

    Today I was with the blue bus as we went to Old Town Innsbruck and saw the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) which is made of 2,738 fire-gilded copper tiles from Emperor Maximillan I to mark his wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza, the Duke of Milan's daughter. We were also able to experience the beauty of the Imperial Palace.
