... the water and the more she drank, the better she became. During those years, Mineral Wells became a destination for people much like Hot Springs, AR. There is also a very large hotel (currently only a shell), the Baker. It dominates the scenery. After drinking of the water, we drove through Cool and Millsap, TX. ... see some of the things, but we also missed some of the others. Daddy did seem to enjoy the trains and that was one of the main reasons. At first the trains were not running, but when I expressed that was one of the reasons we were here, they started them. We were the only ones in the gardens. The campground is not exactly in Mingus, it is just off I-20. The park is OK, not large, gravel sites, sat elite only in certain sites (and extra, I think). There are concrete patios, but since we pulled up far enough that we are right by the hook-ups, we're not at the patio. It rained here also and there are a few puddles around. We have made it as far as Mineral Wells. Time for a fuel stop and getting some fuel for the body too. The heat was terrible today. The sun is down and the ride should be a lot more comfy.
