The sun is really hot now.
I run to the beach for about 45 minutes. There are many people swimming while others are sunbathing. The nearby bars and coffee shops are full of people who enjoy this beautiful day like us.

... a completely different picture. The umbrellas and seats stand on the beach and remain empty. It is as if they are calling for company.
Anyway, I feel so privileged being out here!
Most of my friends are back to work, and I am still enjoying my summer holidays. What else could I want!
... streets are quite narrow, and it is a bit hard to find a parking space.
It is here in this beach called Hrisi Amoudia – Golden Beach in English- that I came to have access on the internet and check my e mails. It is not very far from Kinira, the place where our hotel was.

Why should I expect to find things as I had left them so many years ago?
Probably because I had so many good memories of those days!

... was working at a factory there. The city is much bigger now, but no matter what, it remains beautiful even better than those years. We have a long trip today, going back to Evia after spending 8 days on the Island of Thasos and this is the reason we set off quite early.
LUNCH TIME .... TRADITIONAL DISHES
George suggested that we have lunch and I said that it was no need, and that we don't usually eat lunch while on holidays.
By the time we are driving down the mountains, we are all hungry, so we come to this traditional tavern

There are goats scattered all over the nearby hills with their bells ringing! A real Greek village indeed. But I have already missed the beach so much, so off we go…..

The beauty of the beautiful eastern coasts, sandy beaches, sunshine, vegetation, everything!

Thassos Town, Northeast Aegean Islands, Greece chickensafloat... are swift to load and you have no time to waste in getting out of your vehicle and up the steps to the passenger decks, the ferryboats have small canteens offering tea, coffee, cold drinks, and snacks, plenty for a weiry traveler until you reach your Island home....
