    ZAKYNTHOS, GREECE, MAY 6, 2015
Today we are in Zakynthos one of the Ionian Isles. Today is a beautiful day and we are tendering ashore to the port of Zakynthos. The town is quite small and nestled along the sea shore. We drive up into the hills for a scenic overlook of the port. In the distance you can see Turtle Island where the loggerhead turtles lay their eggs. We continue further up the mountains. The hillsides ...

... make it more clear. There were tons of statues of the gods and goddesses in great shape. We saw a statue of Hermes holding Dioceses (my favorite out of all the Greek gods ;) as a baby. He was super excited to see ...

I must just mention that amongst the lorries being loaded there were also three or four buses full of french students ...

A travel blog entry by kavking1 on Apr 26, 2015

At sea. All at sea, cos I have an exceedingly near terminal case of man-flu. I will be very surprised if I am able to complete the voyage. However, I went to the ship's doctor and was given paracetamol at the cost of $0.52. US. The nurse tried to distract me from my immediate demise by telling me it was the cheapest item on the ship. Her ploy was unsuccessful so my next duty is to check out ...

    1st Olympic Games

A travel blog entry by krisdee on Sep 28, 2014

The first stop on our cruise is Katakolon, Greece (which is right outside of Olympia). We decided not to eat breakfast today and eat lunch early right before we got off the ship. I spent the morning once again, searching for my phone, with no luck. We got in around 1pm and ended up getting a tour bus ride from the cruise line for 14 euros to Olympia. As we started to drive there my initial thoughts on Greece ...
