... not many people came to see us. They said it was because they were probably nervous about what we do. They may have had bad experiences or aren't quite sure what sterilization procedures fully entail. Apparently, when we go to a new community the first day is usually slow but after that word spreads through the town and we are super busy the next day! It makes me excited to see how many people we get ...

... found out that the local pub we had targeted, well known for its variety of beer, was closed on Mondays. Since we had a good parking space, we found a small organic cafe, Cafe Liberia, in the area and ate there. We later looked it up and discovered it was the #2 rated restaurant in Liberia. Katelyn and Lauren here! We started today off even earlier and even brighter at 5:30 AM. We went to the Kitchen for Devotionals led by Annie about 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and how important it is to show love to those who we are serving and what that love is.Then we were served breakfast that consisted of eggs and ham jamon (like an egg and ham scrambler) and plantains (like a banana) and minty tea. Right after breakfast we jumped in to the grind of painting. ...

... you haven't told anyone. By the time we came up I was knackered, 3 dives today and finishing at like 9pm after cleaning all of the gear. LONG DAY. I was so tired when I got back that I literally didn't want to do anything and I had to force myself to shower rather than crawl into my bed all salty from the ocean! Day 72: Next lot of open water dives today with Carlos's and my student. We started in Tortuga where we tied a buoy to the line so they could do one of the open water skills ...
