... they'll connect when they return home. We had a fantastic time with these new Houston friends, and their incredible kids Dagney and Collier. After shutting down happy hour, we decided to continue the conversation and share a table at dinner in the nicer resort restaurant, Los Cesares. I was very proud of our much younger kids for keeping up with the conversation, and contributing to it appropriately and entertainingly. The Goodners appreciated having another family to hang ...

After a few more hills he finally got the message and they waited for Angela to arrive, who'd taken a different route and therefore was quite some time... ... of pathways and walking trails through the forest and around the lakes of Llao Llao National Park. We ended up doing every trail there was, which took the whole afternoon. We saw lakes, mountains, beaches, a bridge and a hill, which we climbed. The views from the top were fabulous. It was cold and windy up there though so we headed down, which took a long time and we didn't get back until 7.40pm. We had cheese fondue for dinner with beer in it. Yum!

... s no snow. An article in a national paper explains the irritation of vacationing families at having to pay an entrance fee into one of the (previously free) ski areas to cover the cost of the fake snow that's being put down as an interim measure. Fortunately, I didn't come to Bariloche for the skiing (I have never been skiing in my life and I have no intention of breaking an ankle now when I still have two months travelling to go), and the sunshine makes for ideal ...
