Tilcara - and the Border crossing
The border crossing from Bolivia to Argentina was surprisingly not as painful as expected. A bit unorganised but not so bad.. We ended up getting a shared taxi from Tupiza to the border town Villazon, so this dropped us off right at the Bolivian border. Then you had to get your Bolivian exit stamps and for some reason as tourists we just got told to go ahead of the locals in a queue. Then there was about a 300m walk (no-mans land again :)) to queue at immigration ...
Canyons, BBQ´s and dodgy musical instruments
... the sound of a recorder.
One thing to note here was the first appearance of Coca Tea and Ham & Cheese toasties for breakfast. Za večerjo je danes trpela lama. Dobra zadeva, po videzu in okusu malo na doručak spominja, še kako uro zatem pa se človeku po njej silno spahuje.

Llama burgers and major religious processions
One of the absolute surprise highlights of our South America adventure.
Originally intended as a quick stop off on the way up to Bolivia, we arrived in Tilcara late one night after yet another dusty and uncomfortable bus ride. After checking into our basic yet charming hostel (the room was basically a shed, and it was cold. But there were cacti and things everywhere, I'm easily amused) we decided to go for a late night wander. And ...
