Hola Amigos and Amigas! I will officially be in Mazunte Mexico for a week tomorrow and I wish I came here earlier. Very chill, very off the beaten path, and quite beautiful. This is NON resort Mexico at it´s best. I am staying in a cabaña (which sounds romantic but really just means bad construction, no privacy, lots of bugs but AWESOME location) …
... and enjoyed the beach, some vegetarian food and the company of Ari and Dave (the two Jewish lads from Mexico city who we found were there as they randomly tackled me on the beach later in the day).
We hiked up to the headland to try to catch sunset and just made it as it started to set, was still really nice.
Megan was beat so she hit the sack and myself, Ari, Dave and an American couple went out for dinner and had the best fish tacos I have ever had ...
Before the parentals left we managed to make the most of what Ventanilla has to offer by taking a tour of the mangrove with our very own private tour guide. As Mateo paddled us soundlessly through the silky waters we saw countless species of exotic birds, which he was able to name just by their call.
