Degollado between I. Zaragoza y Doblado San Jose Del Cabo, Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico, 23400, 624/142-0534
... We took time in the morning to explore the area before heading out on June 6.
We had filled up in Ensenada before leaving, so when we got to Catavina we had three-eighths of a tank; perfect, or so we thought until the only pumps in town were out (service and gas). Fortunately, we were able to purchase five gallons for 36 pesos a gallon, not bad considering. We stayed at Rancho Santa ...
... trade... something to keep them busy on their way home. The sad thing is that we probably won't be able to eat the fish they gave us as we ended up going out for Lobster tonight at a place called the Tropicana here in SJdCabo. Now THAT was a lot of fun.. we picked our own spiny lobsters and had a meal which included live entertainment which was heads and shoulders above that we heard last night at MamaMias. Check out the pics! Tomorrow is Toda Santos and Hotel California!
San Jose del Cabo, Baja California, Mexico seattleman... the day. The lounge (Azul) in the casino is also where the margarita was invented in 1948 and of course is now a staple in Mexican cantinas. The building is surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden that is well maintained by groundskeepers; in fact they were out working that weekend. The property also boasts a wading pool, an outdoor theatre, a small shopping square and a playground. If the walls could talk ...
La Jolla, Mexico mikeandger... form Bufadora hats and T-shirts, leather wares like wallets and hats, and silver jewelry. Mike managed to find a wonderful Mexican wrestling mask.....check it out....we call him "Mike the Terrible". Now we need to find him a venue to show off his skills in the squared circle. During our walk through the market, we were enticed with food and drinks that included margaritas, fish tacos and churros (a sugary Mexican ...
La Jolla, Mexico mikeandger... us to come and eat at the school for breakfast in the morning at 7:30 (if we only knew what time zone we are in LOL!!). Just before dark, Kevin showed up with a big pot of soup and his 8 year old son carrying bowls and spoons and a ladle. It was delicious and we didn't have to cook! Kevin talked to us for quite a while and gave the history of the Rancho Sordo Mudo (deaf ranch): 47 years ago a man and wife "Lucas & Miriam Holmes ...
Valle de Guadelupe, Mexico tambrogdon... husk and steam it for two hours. Devine. My FAVOURITE Mexican food. I also learned that the Mexicans eat dried meat - similar to biltong and make Mochaka. Fine biltong strips with onion, tomato and chilli. Use this as a tortilla filling. Well Maria entertained me to no end. We spend two days cooking in the kitchen ( typically Morgan ) and learning Spanish. To Maria and Patricia at El Sauzel, Thank you so much for all my Spanish and Cooking lessons.
El Sauzel, Mexico janetmorgan... to the rest of those. Later with some friends, I went up to the front of the boat on the top deck, while we were cruising and messed around in the wind. That was a really cool experience and we took way to many pictures! Finally after dinner we listened to talks by a bunch of important people which combined with the rocking of the boat pretty much put me to sleep. Then we had hall meetings and finally sleep! Soo tired!!!
Ensenada, Mexico ambersWe stayed in good all ensenada of baja california in Mexico. went right through the border like a breeze. Very interesting, looked poverty stricken, later talked with some people who said how, they make their homes look awesome from the inside out. Looking at the outside might look like nothing, but the inside is full of beautifull tiles and such.
