... no free coffee, no wi fi, not allowed to bring your own food.

FOOD: The local markets were very cheap, selling a huge variety of tropical fruit and vegetables– Tomatoes 5Q (R8) per kg, Avocado pear 2Q (R3), Onions, Mango 5Q (R8) per kg, Pineapple 5Q (R8), Watermelon 5Q (R8), Bread – tortillas 1Q (R1.50) for 5. Corn tortillas are the main source of carbs and can be bought anywhere; they are made from white, yellow or blue corn, all tasting similar. Our favourite ...

Free day wandering Antigua today as we meet up tonight for the 2nd half of our trip. First thing after breakfast, moving hotels and dropping off laundry, next, off to the markets for some shopping. It's really my favourite place here in Central America, there's so much to see and do. Anyway back to ...

Antigua is a beautiful colonial city, full of color and beautiful architecture. The people are very nice and most speak at least a little English, so it's easy to get around. You can live here for next to nothing... food is very cheap especially if you cook for yourself. The streets consist of incredibly ****** cobblestone. You need sturdy shoes but it also keeps the cars from going anywhere over 15mph, which is ...

... br> A great little tour, with a surprising amount of mileage and hill climbing for the "easy" level ride.

Beyond the breathtaking landscape and pretty towns, was the opportunity to see people going abou their daily business. Once such is a communal water/washing centre in the middle of town. Women (this is not such a female-progressive society) from the whole village come with their washing (carried ...
