          Check who else is staying.......

This hotel was a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean with a nice hot shower and the hotel has a roof terrace with amazing views over Antigua and the volcano.
The staff here are also very friendly, very eager to help and they also speak good English if you need it! Breakfast was included with our room but all of our tours started around 5am so we would miss breakfast, but all you need to do is ask the staff and they will organise a box breakfast for you to take on your tour the following morning. A really nice touch!
My one warning about this hotel would be to check who else is staying here before you part with your money. Unfortunately for us there was a large group of bible camp American kids staying here who do not leave the hotel much and all congregate around the courtyard, right outside our room. They then came in late, singing, laughing and talking really loud and the walls are so thin it's a little like staying in a hostel. Not great when you have a 3.20am wake up call!
Other than that this was a nice place to stay and i would recommend it.

Spacy rooms, helpful staff, nice beds and a great rooftop view, definitely one of the best hotels we've had in Guatemala

When I booked our trip to Antigua, Guatemala I had no idea we would be there during Semana Santa "Holy Week". Antigua has one of the largest celebrations, in the world, for Holy Week and 1000's of people come to Antigua during this week to take part in the festivities. We just happened to come across the celebrated processions on our first two …

... of year, the volcano hike is not very spectacular. If I could go on a morning tour, I would not see the glowing lava but would have great views and could still toast marshmallows over the hot areas on the volcano. I decided this was good advice as I had begun to wonder how the hike was going to work out if it rained!! I will visit my tour operator tomorrow to see if I can change the date and time of my tour.
