The path was steep and there were many stone staircases cut into the rock but there were old ladies with walking sticks and young children just beyond toddlers bravely tackling the route so I took heart and kept on going. At one point, about 20 minutes in I foolishly asked a doņa headed in the opposite direction if there was much more to go.

We visited the 10 exhibit halls in this museum that housed maps, drawings, old photographs, works of art and items showing the history of the area. The highlight of the visit was at the end, when we saw a huge mural by Diego Rivera that shows the history of the state of Morelos. We sat on the benches in front of the mural and just tried to take everything that we saw, in. What a project that mural must have been!

This is a top pick!

This day we have both been looking forward too since first arriving in Mexico and finding a tourist stand with brochures and finding one for the biggest water park in the Southern Hemisphere, El Rollo. It has 4 different themed areas, so many pools, water slides, wave pools and thousands of liters of water we might not see it all in one day. Our alarm went off at 8am, out of bed by 8.30, breakfast done by 9.30, left the hotel by 10am. We got a taxi to the bus company ...
