... by the government buildings and restaurants, but not seeing the main church on the square is a little odd. It was a few blocks away. We haven't been on a main square without a cathedral or church on it. But then, the Government Building takes up one side of the square and Hernan Cortes' imposing palace takes up the whole other side of the square.

Today we toured a sugar cane mill in the state of Morelos.  Sugar cane accounts for .5%25 of Mexico's GDP and sugar cane fields cover about 1.6 million acres of land in Mexico (2nd largest crop area after corn).  When we first entered the mill, I didn't know that I was looking at sugarcane.  I don't know what I was expecting it to look like but it kind of resembles bamboo branches. ...

Some of the kids probably have never had toys like these and to see them running around all excited certainly warmed my heart.
