This morning did not look promising as I could here the rain outside my window and was in no hurry to get up. When I went out for the morning cafe con leche it was looking better and I got packed up and headed out. Getting out of town proved difficult as the streets don't run straight, and the street name is not always obvious. I got directions about three times and one fellow actually walked about four blocks to get me on track. Very obliging, I just ...

It was by far the most beautiful site I have yet to see, unfortunately I neglected to bring my camera on this trip. It was once we had reached the top and began our descent home that we found ourselves ...

I hope everyone had a delightful Canada day yesterday! I instead celebrated my host father's birthday with some of his closest friends and family. It was my first Spanish fiesta, and the food, the company, and the vino did not disappoint me. I was overwhelmed with the kindness and warmth of their friends, as many of them offered me their homes and company if I chose to travel more extensively on the ...

During these past few days I have been adjusting to life as a Spaniard. This includes late meals, driving standard and of course the nude beaches. Pablo, my host father, took me to Laredo the other day which is the town 5km from our village and absolutely breathtaking. The beach was beautiful, but also the old city was packed with visiting tourists and locals who were making the most of the amazing weather we have had. This is where I will be taking ...
