... It was right in the old center and walking distance to everything. Once we got there and dropped everything off, we went to the old town to eat lunch. Then we went walking along the canal to the Guggenheim museum. From the outside it looks like gold scales of a fish. It is a huge building. It even has the same spider structure at the Ottawa art museum. It was very funny seeing something so familiar in a completely different surrounding. In the front of the museum is a ...

This morning did not look promising as I could here the rain outside my window and was in no hurry to get up. When I went out for the morning cafe con leche it was looking better and I got packed up and headed out. Getting out of town proved difficult as the streets don't run straight, and the street name is not always obvious. As ...

Ah... where to start. In preparation for my dear pal Madeline to visit Liendo, Raquel and I thought it would be great to find some new hiking paths. So the evening before Madeline was due to arrive we set out to hike 500m to the top of the nearby mountain. It was by far the most beautiful site I have yet to see, unfortunately I neglected to bring my camera on this trip. It was once we had reached the top and began our descent home that we found ourselves ...

I hope everyone had a delightful Canada day yesterday! I instead celebrated my host father's birthday with some of his closest friends and family. It was my first Spanish fiesta, and the food, the company, and the vino did not disappoint me. I was overwhelmed with the kindness and warmth of their friends, as many of them offered me their homes and company if I chose to travel more extensively on the ...
