... dem Boot Flussaufwaerts zum Salto Angel cruisen werden und Checkpoint Nr. 1 der wichtigsten Punkte unserer Reise abhaken werden. Im Nachtrag gibts dann (sofern sich wieder richtiges Internet finden laesst) ordentlich Fotomaterial von der Tour.
Eigentlich koennte man auch gleich von Canaima weiter Richtung Grenze fliegen. Die Betonung liegt auf “eigentlich”…. und so gehts nach der Tour wieder zum Ausgangspunkt ...

Finally, just after 7pm, we reached Ciudad Bolivar, well past sunset. Apparently, during the night, the bus had taken the longer route via Caracas instead of the advertised bypass option through the Llanos. In Venezuela, the bus company can apparently just change the schedule or even the route without any notice whatsoever. This must really have sucked for the guy with the chicken who planned to get off somewhere midway.

First impressions and Orinoco river tour
... because of the dangerous animals, but because of billions of mosquitoes! Somehow my mosquito repellent was inappropriate at prime time and the mosquito pull got doubled by my black jacket. Well, **** happens...Overall it was cool and jungle guide Marcos was great and energetic.
Now I am back in Ciudad Bolivar and I am staying in a posada and I am going to sleep in a minute, for the first time in a hammock in the open air! Meanwhile I arranged a replacement ...
