Very nice hotel. Cozy rooms and a beautiful view. It also has a ease access to the beach by chair lift.

Christ the Redeemer & Ipanema sunset

A travel blog entry by andyhill on Jul 16, 2014

Got up and hit the breakfast at the hostel before getting a taxi to Tijuana national park. Here we started our hike to the top of Christ the Redeemer. The hike itself was rather intense, including a little chain climbing section half way up taking us over a fairly steep rock section. We also got to see some cool monkeys and small colourful butterflies on the way up. With only 1 and a half mandarins and one bottle of water between us we had to ration it ...

We were on the back of the bus and the air-con water was dripping on Shaun's face and I said "you want a towel?" and he's like "na it's okay, I quite like it". I'm like wtf, weird boy. Blue sky, not a cloud insight. Perfect day for a trek to the peak of the island. Before we left the owner ...

Started the morning with breakfast at 8. Packed my bag and went off to buy lunch for today's hike to Lopes Mendes Beach. I think twelve of us were doing the hike today, I was a bit late so I told the others the could start walking and I catch up. Cause I needed to go both to the supermarket and the bakery to store up with food and drinks for today. Took me about 15-20 minutes to catch up with the little bit slower ...
