Very nice hotel. Cozy rooms and a beautiful view. It also has a ease access to the beach by chair lift.

... the Carribean! Being a Nature Reserve no boats were allowed to the shore and only a few locals could be seen. As the clouds we out I SLAPPED on factor 15 and fell fast asleep for a good two hours... I now regret not putting it on correctly as spots missed are some what sore... BUT the tan is coming along :D The ocean was crystal blue and a perfect spot to try out the GoPro... Getting back by speed boat and seeing some of the pictures taken provided good ...

... lethal local drink, made up of a lot of vodka, ice and lime. Strong ****. Mossies cover the island and their bites cover my legs. Mossies are just so frickashrickafrickafricka. They're like repellant schmellant. Nom nom nom. We definitely made the most of it at Ilha Grande, first a pointless, all day trek. Followed by a night of Caprihanas that put us to sleep till midday. Exotic Island

We have left Rio and arrived in Ilha Grande today. On this wonderful Island we will stay the next 2 days. We are here for sunbathing on one of the best 10 beaches worldwide and to enjoy "cold autumn temperatures" around 25-28 C.

The internet connection is quiete slow, so upload of pictures has to be postponed. Sorry!

We took a city bus to the port and a 2 hour ferry out to Ilah Grande. A beautiful tropical island in the middle of rain season. Probably not our best move but it was on the way to Rio so we stopped. It is a rather large island. On our first day we arrived late afternoon and after making our trek up a mountain with our packs we decided to explored the little village.
