    Day 65

Got up around 10am, packed our bags and checked out. Got a taxi to the bus station and waited around before our 30hour journey to São Paulo. I was dreading the thought of having to sit on a bus for 30 hours but the journey itself wasn't as bad as I feared. The bus stopped at least 6 times so you could get food or go to the bathroom. The places we stopped off at were pretty much just roadside ...

I dragged the two lads out of bed because I wanted to go to the beach. It was also Easter Sunday but there wasn't anywhere to buy Easter eggs so we bought each other ice creams instead. Woke up quite late and although we had planned on going to a water park we decided against it at the last minute. It was mainly due to the fact that the weather was fairly **** but we weren't really too pushed. Wasn't much to do so we got some food and went back to the room to watch more films on HBO. The wifi was also diabolical in our hostel so the telly was our only source of entertainment. In fairness we did see some great films with Captain Phillips being ...

... but he makes up an awful lot of rubbish so don't take my word for it. We were starving so had some food down by the beach. Went back to our hostel for the rest of the afternoon and just slept. The accommodation was ok but it's saving grace was that we had a TV with HBO. Went out for a lasagna and pizza and it was mediocre at best. Theres no way to describe the pizza in this part of the world other than pure *****. There's always too much cheese and no tomato sauce ...

    Arraial d'Ajuda

... place. Lots of lovely looking restaurants and shops. None of which I could afford. But they looked nice. This is actually where my lovely Kilina got engaged to David I later found out. What a lovely place to get engaged. I took a walk down to the beach. It looked nice, the beach was not very wide, the tide comes up very high in the afternoon/evening. I then walked back to my hostel and cooked up my chick pea curry, inspired by Onni, Kilina's sister. I was ...
