... my flight from Brazil to Argentina and had some problems so mum and papa came to the rescue and called the airline and it all got sorted. Thank god for you two.! I then got my stuff together and headed to the little beach just about 10 minutes from my hostel. I didn't think much of it. It was very full of sea weed and I didn't even go in the water. I think at high tide it would have been nicer. So I just read my book and sun bathed. About 2.30 I went back to ...

Again, beautiful beaches and a young, backpacker vibe permeated from this place (except for the rich elitists in their helicopters). It's been hot and the beers have been impressively ice cold everywhere in Brazil. There were a few "bars" set up on the beach... The people I was sitting with were telling me a lot about the beach, and ...

... the streets as Police watch on, impassively. Honestly, this makes Booze Britain look like a tea-party round your nan's. There are make-shift bars dotted along the high-way serving something called 'Ten Seconds'. Groups of youngsters crowd around while, at one place, the seventy-year old looking 'barmaid' shouts "Vai! Vai! Vai!" (Go! Go! Go!) at a young girl sucking from a straw in a large shot glass of Creme De Menthe whilst she refills the same glass with two ...

... locals and their lorries, cars and bikes and took the 10 minute ride to the other side. There a taxi ran us to the hostel ... And we came across our first real basic accommodation. The hostel fits perfectly into the slightly hippie vibe we first encountered in Arrial and whilst we had absolutely no complaints the private 3 bed room we'd been looking forward to was literally a room with a double and single bed, and a padlock on the door. It brought us closer with nature at least. As ...
