    ... scurrying into the safety of shop doorways. The laneways wind and zig zag and are seldom straight. We are told the theory behind this was to confuse and deter the Pirates. There are shops selling everything - clothes and jewellery being the predominant items, but plenty of cafes. All the buildings are white and i can't help wondering what the colour charts look like in the local paint and hardware stores. Window trims seem to be the only choice available ...

    ... 5euro admission, so I sat out. Pretty cool place even from the outside though. It was where the first modern Olympic Games were held. When the first games were done- it was only track and field so it was a basic track made al in marble. 107 steps to the top, and it holds 60,000 people. We grabbed food for dinner and made chickpea tomato ...

    ... overseas; the other place was in Greece also.

    It is very windy outside and I am glad to be at the hotel. Getting off the Ferry was an awesome experience. They lower the bridge to get off, while they are still pulling into the port. You feel like you are the star in some marine movie. We are all watching as the bridge goes down and the ferry turns into port. We are all waiting with our luggage. You feel like you are waiting for a surprise war or rather, you are on ...

    ... as the receptionist told me on check in, is that this room has a 'special' bathroom ... Well, yep it sure has! The recess from waist up is glass, so the view is amazing but if I can see out, I figure someone can see in, so there are curtains to close and I closed them for my shower.

    Only about a 3 min walk from the hotel is the best beach I've seen on a Greek Island - it's called Krios beach, and it is long, ...
