... you must first get to the port side town of Paranagua and the nicest way to get (mostly) there is by a scenic train ride through the forest and over the mountains via the Sierra Verde Express. A lovely, pleasant and relaxing 3 hours. The ride was great and since the car was not full we could scoot about the train looking for the best spot to take in the views.

... for about 5 minutes but after getting Sea urching spikes stuck in my toes decided to get out and not return. I am still paying 2 weeks later as they have never come out of my foot. That evening we decided to take it easy and just endulge in one beer after our dinner. Florianopolis was such a beautiful peaceful place we only wish we could have stayed a bit longer. The following day we were catching a bus to Uruguay.
