... has sailed in wild seas before and for me, unsure of my likehood to succumb or not, it's the easiest way to not feel or think about it. And it's actually not too bad. The Scenic Railway is worse.

I wake around 7am to see a towering wall of rock emerging from the sea through our window. We are in the caldera approaching Santorini and I'm keen to get some shots from our vantage point. There is a small handful of eager photographers with me on deck, the only difference ...

... the Caldera and both ends of the island.

Our hotel owner had given us several tips when we first arrived and he had warned us that many of the restaurants with a view would be more expensive and not because the food was better. Well, he was right in this case. Not great food, but food, and we did love the view.

We finally arrived at the hostel and again we got an amazing room with an awesome balcony! We ...

... slightly larger than Oia but a lot more commercial, and absolutely packed with tourists. There were jewellery stores on every corner, only outnumbered by the souvenir shops. The little alleys took us past many hotels, apartments, restaurants & cafes which all had ridiculously awesome views of the caldera (top of the volcanic crater). We were happy to get out of there, and on to the last stop, Santo Wines, for some samples of the local fare. We each received a plate ...

... decided to try it out the first morning then buy groceries for the rest of the mornings. I ordered greek yoghurt with honey and fruit, which also came with tea, orange juice and the most heavenly toast ever created. Seriously, they serve the most amazing toast any of us had ever eaten. And with this being said, we then decided to have every breakfast at the hostel.

Monday morning was cloudy and rainy so we decided to go into the town of Fira for some exploring. After ...
