    We woke up to another amazing Turano breakfast of espresso, freshly baked bread, prosciutto, and cheeses before hitting the road for Taormina, Sicily.     After the guide stopped we walked by ourselves and just wandered around.

    When we were going Riley, Zara and I grabbed 2 rocks from the volcano and took them with us.
    And I am hoping I could at least bring 1 home to show you all and tell you all about it.

    And he said there was multiple craters. Over all we saw 2 up there and 2 on our way back down to the car.

    And I threw some rocks into the crater and you could hear the rocks going down bumping against other rocks.

    And we didn't even go all the way up to the main central crater because the air was to thin and there was this gas that people can't take in.

    Arriving in Taormina we encounter the dreaded traffic limitato sign, which we know that if you enter you will be fined.

    So we entered…..

    because our apartment was inside the zone.

    After a few fast emails and calls to the host, googling and eventual confirmation from a cop we found out that the security cameras were not active.

    Unless of course we find a fine in the mail in a years ...

    ... restaurant called la cisterna del Moro and it was definitely the right decision. We had to wait about 20mins to get a seat out on the terrace but it was worth the wait. We had a nice little entree and then had a lasagna and cannelloni - they were delicious.
