... Grotta. Immediately upon our arrival we were greeted by Nicoletta, who is a member of the family owned hotel and she made us feel welcome and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the touring tips and goodies that she provided when we first arrived. Our cozy room was located in a corner, that faced the port of Naxos and the temple of Apollo with a large deck that is sheltered from the wind. It is just a short walk from the hotel ...

The Blue Star ferry to Paros left on time and was a very comfortable ride from Piraeus (Athens Port), to the Island of Paros. The remainder of the night we spent booking and finalising ...

... I love. We also used this time to steal some salt and pepper in a napkin, no shame. The chicken was absolutely amazing, hands down the best dish I've had since I've been here, and the potatoes complimented it amazingly and soaked up the herby sauce. The pie was delicious too, which we decided to dip in the sauce and make even better. We were too full to eat the third dish, which ...

... Bourgos where the Greeks lived and the hilltop Kastro where the Venetian Catholics lived and where several Venetian mansions survive.

After we booked a ferry trip to Santorini for the next day and a quick swim at a local beach we walked into the old part of Naxos behind the more touristic waterfront and found a family run Italian restaurant with upstairs an art gallery.
We happened to be there on the ...
