... was a great party to end my stay in Chapada. Everyone danced, and sang and had a great time. The alcohol didn't hurt the situation, I'm sure, but everyone was in good spirits anyway. After eating and partying Raisa, Camila, Naiara and I caught a bus back to Salvador. But not before I jammed on some tunes I didn't know with a group of gypsy music makers at the bus station, of ...

... best day in Vale do Capão for me. The views were incredible! I earned a few nicknames this day including: gringo loco, crazy frog, and crazy Jordan. I felt anxious as the taxi took us closer to our hostel and the streets got dodgier. I was not too impressed with the exterior, but when we got inside my impression changed. ... before entering the pool. To get to the pool, we had to go down some steps where the pool is situated in a cave. We lucked out because a) the weather was great b) this meant the water was crystal clear c) the pool hadn't been visited by anyone else yet because they thought the weather would be bad so the trip wouldn't be worth it. The pool was really stunning! So blue. So tranquil. There were even some bats flying around. They let us ...

... views and vegetation. Day three the weather looked a little more promising than the day before but either way we were determined to walk to some very high waterfalls (200 meters). We started the day with an uphill and all wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. Luckily that was our only major uphill for the day and the rest of the route was level and muddy from the rain. On our walk we came across a few mules, they are use to ...
