... Doce. Here it was a cave with stalegmites and stalegtites. We had to go down with a guide and we walked through the cave. At one point we all had to turn off our torches and it was totally black you couldn't see a thing. It was pretty cool. So we saw some stalegmites and tites and then we came up and had something to eat. We then made a stop in a pool in a cave called Poço Azul. You couldn't swim in it but it was cool. We just went down some steps and just before a cave ...

... authentic Brazilian meal of churrasco (grilled meat). I helped wash dishes and build the fire and the girls all cooked. They made rice, farofa, and tomato salad. Then we just started piling meat on the grill: sausage, chicken, steak, and pork; another great meal. The meat is slow cooked so from when we started around 4 until I had to catch my bus around 8:15, the grill was never ...

... best day in Vale do Capão for me. The views were incredible! I earned a few nicknames this day including: gringo loco, crazy frog, and crazy Jordan. I was given these names by different people from our huge group because I was a bit of a daredevil, I guess. I climbed things no one else climbed, sat on ledges others were too afraid to sit on, and, most importantly to me, got some of the coolest photos as a result. I won't try to explain the hike or anything ...

... skin. Then we ate a buffet style lunch that was similar to the lunch we ate the day before; lots of fresh food straight from local farms. We then got back in the van for a drive to another cave called Poço Encantado. At this one we had to trek through the cave a bit with headlamps to get to the water. This cave has water inside it as well and it is basically a giant well. ...

    Day 31

... with Harry Potter again. We arrived in Salvador probably around 2.30pm. From here we caught a taxi to our hostel. I felt anxious as the taxi took us closer to our hostel and the streets got dodgier. I was not too impressed with the exterior, but when we got inside my impression changed. Very spacious hostel that was decorated very tastefully!! There was a bit of confusion over our rooms, where the guy seem to think the room was booked for 2 people when it was for 3. So we left ...
