... authentic Brazilian meal of churrasco (grilled meat). I helped wash dishes and build the fire and the girls all cooked. They made rice, farofa, and tomato salad. Then we just started piling meat on the grill: sausage, chicken, steak, and pork; another great meal. The meat is slow cooked so from when we started around 4 until I had to catch my bus around 8:15, the grill was never ...

I was given these names by different people from our huge group because I was a bit of a daredevil, I guess. ... to feel panicky that he might not show but thankfully he did at 8.30am. From here he walked us to the main plaza where I bought some choc chip cookies. After some consultation he said it probably wouldn't be a good idea to go to Poco do Azul, as it had been raining so the water is likely to be murky with sediment rather than crystal clear. We decided it was worth it and still wanted to go. We paid $120 R each and his friend took us. It was a ...

... views and vegetation. Day three the weather looked a little more promising than the day before but either way we were determined to walk to some very high waterfalls (200 meters). We started the day with an uphill and all wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. Luckily that was our only major uphill for the day and the rest of the route was level and muddy from the rain. On our walk we came across a few mules, they are use to ...
