... I ran, I tried to notice the houses (hard when you are sweating and panting) – all wood-panelled but many did seem in need of renovation. Apparently Somers was built wholly to accommodate workers for a huge saw mill that was built there in the 1800s. The saw mill is long gone, and the settlement has perhaps seen better days.
