Alligator River
We crossed the Albemarle Sound to the Alligator River, which we cruised for most of the day until past sunset. The Alligator River joins with the Pungo River Canal, and after dark we were navigating a channel in the Pungo River before dropping anchor for the night near Belhaven off a break wall in 7-10 feet of water.

Bev found us a place to eat after the tour, it was called "Sam & Omies". Once we got inside we found it was a "local bar hangout", but our waitress was great and the shrimp sandwiches were yummy.

Boat to Plymouth
We checked out of Myrtle Beach early, as we knew we had a drive to catch a Ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher. As it happened we arrived 2 minutes before the Ferry left, it was good we did otherwise we would have had to wait over an hour for the next.

Edenton Small Town America
As the OBX is very busy at the weekend we decided to spend the weekend in Edenton. [It's a very pleasant little town.] Sundays where everybody puts on their Sunday Best & goes to church. We went to the waterfront and parked the car. Then had a little wander around- it was almost deserted, we passed the time of day with the the occasional folks we encountered along the way, very civilized.
