Well, too our delight, we arrived and found a site with shade, while most do not have any protection. The beach is only 10m away and just delightful sand and warm water.

We stayed two nights here and made friends with Boris the Bulgarian. It was Boris that convinced us to drive via Bulgaria, rather than through Greece. He was trying very hard to speak English and we thoroughly enjoyed ...
... we could cruise safely towards our first peninsular, Kassandra. We arrived towards the end of the day looking for a camp that people had recommended. There were two camps and they were both choker. We drove to the beach and to our surprise found that several campers were pitched so decided that this would be fine for us too. We had a delightful swim after a big drive. ...
... chill out and catch up. Unexpectedly the internet connection is the best we've had so far. The first could of days we had a lot of rain and it meant we did stick around camp. At one stage we almost needed to swim to get across the ablution blocks. Fortunately we had chosen a site on slightly raised ground.
Now the weather has settled and we've enjoyed walking, swimming and cycling around the bay.
