Driving into Hamburg, grateful for TT's direction. Paul had pre-booked a hotel with parking, so able to unload our bags in the luxury of a covered car park with lift. The benefits of a Holiday Inn as oppossed to a cute hotel in the historic centre! Technically, we were close to the centre of town, but it would appear that the centre is quite scattered along the various waterways.

Wandering through the historic centre, it became obvious that "squish" was the only way to describe the buildings.
