    ... a lot of history and the buildings are old. Its interesting to note that in spite of the city having been severely bombed by the allies during the war, the three cathedrals, which sport tall spires, were never hit or damaged. Must be a divine force at work.

    ... So we ended up turning around and having to negotiate a complicated diversion.

    We arrived at Hamburg at around 2.00 where we checked into the luxurious four star Maddison Hotel which had been booked for us by my business associates from DVA. Pure luxury after our bus. Our bus has a total of 4.5 square meters of living space, now we were thrown into 35 square meters. We nearly lost each other.

    ... all electricals in the morning if there's anything left! We chose our spot then headed out for a wander. Prego loved the freedom after being cooped up for a long journey.     ... on the train and I asked Monica to name a number between 1-5. She picked 3, so the plan was to get off in three stops. However this train seemed to take us in the middle of nowhere or at least out of town so instead we hopped back on the S3 and went towards central station. From there we found a delicious Italian restraint. We each got vegetable soup and split a pizza. We ordered water and got these fancy glass bottles. That was over the top...I just wanted tap water.
