    ... to Munich via train instead of car, so we spent the rest of sunday afternoon arranging to drop the car in Hamburg instead of Munich and then buying train tickets. All worked out well, so we stayed an extra day in Hamburg (Monday) and were able to get laundry done (whoopee!!) and go to the Miniatur Wunderland, which was pretty whoopee.

    ... for 50% of all movement in through the harbour. So we saw the city, the expensive housing areas, the port and the new harbour city, it should be something when finished. The city had to raise the levee banks nine metres against floods, that's a lot of water. The old dock areas look cool, next time when we are here for a few days we can see it properly.     ... building. In the marketplatz there is a Wine Garden. Like a Biergarden, but wine! It was so cool. I think we circled it 3 times but we couldn't read any German and no one wanted to help us. So we did not participate. We walked back to central station from there through a major shopping street with major expensive department stores. Lots of currywurst stands.     Went to see where they repair. Lufthansa and customer plans. Couldn't take pictures inside, but neat facility. Got up close to 747 being overhauled. Saw two 747 for a middle Easter rich guy, being outfitted. In all a cost of about a billion dollars. Enjoyed some free time in Hamburg Olster Lake. Rode on a solar powered ...
