    ... Almost boring at times. Played dodgeball. A little trouble with food today. 5 Cozumel-taxi to beach w gang. Cancelled scuba bez J's back and my sinuses. Ok with it. Raining and cool.     ... Silk Road city of Merv. Between the 8th & 13 c , it was called the "pearl of the East, second only to Baghdad. This area was conquered /crossroads for many major civilizations: Greeks, Persian, Turks...It was totally destroyed, inhabitants massacred by Genghis Khan 1221. A few eroded ruins are left, and a mausoleum has been restored. One of the tombs has become a site of Muslim pilgrimage, and it was interesting to see the local tourists.

    We went to the local University basketball stadium to watch the Mason Patriots take on the a visiting team from the Duquesne University, I don't think you could get any more fun into a game, music, competitions, floating airships oh and a basketball game.
