    Lima and south coast

    ... Got a combi back to my hostel (a little bus packed full of people) had a pisco sour and got ready for my trip to next destination. All in all Lima was ok but not a place i'd go back to in a hurry as it's so big, loads of smog and you do have to watch yourself quite a bit. The next day I got a bus to a place called Paracas. The landscape in the south of Peru is pretty much desert. Lima is essentially a massive city in the middle of the desert. So ...

    Left Oxford at 11:20 via bus to London 9 each took two and a half hours then checked into Wombat Hostel where our tour starts from on Friday. Cost 25 a night so steep price but its really nice and perfect location right by Tower of London.

    Ethan was doing the tour of the Tower so we meetvat a Wetherspoons (cheap pub chain) for drinks and Linner.

    ... which I thought would be way too long, I was fascinated by the formation and it's history. There is still much to be uncovered, but the ground is very fragile around the area and they are still working out how best to get around this.

    We also squeezed in a trip down to London to see Jen & Joe, a visit to Tom down in London too, and a catch up with Antony also!

    ... where we realised we hadnt printed a map to find our hotel! We tried to recall how the roads went and after a little walk in the sun we made it to our hotel. We were pleased to discover a tram line across the road from the Hotel and also a large shopping centre so we spent the rest of the evening having a wander around collecting information for the next day.
