Again another easy bus trip into Phitsanulok, we walked out
of the bus station with a map in hand as we knew our hotel was within 5 mins
walking distance. We walked for about 10 mins and still no wiser as to where it
was, it looked easy on the map but we just didn’t seem able to find it. A local

him stop for us which was really nice and unexpected. Also, as Julia
was about to take a photo of the funny-looking tuk-tuk, the driver
jumped out of his seat and took a picture of the two of us in it.
Before leaving he shook our hands.

I pictured this adventure as a walk through a cave. It gets darker on the way before there is light at the end of the tunnel. So many distractions are found on the way. From fear of the darkness, to disgust of the insects over to a longing for the outside world. Because today is our longest bus ride we had time for some lessons on the bus. Our first lesson was about the Thai language which consists of 44 consonants, and 32 vowels. I have a lot of trouble with the spoken language and the written version is far beyond ...

We thought we were gonna leave, but checked back in to our hotel and walked to a famous Wat by the river. I guess people from all over come to see this one and it was pretty thick with Thai tourists. Nice building and cool gold Buddas inside. It was more interesting to watch the tourists. We also had a bite to eat there - walked up to a food ...
