Highland mist
July 29
A rather gloomy day today as reflected in the moody pictures. I went to Letterewe where John Beattie was a shepherd in 1850 - 51 (and maybe longer). Well, I went as close as I could get which is on the other side of Loch Maree. I spoke to the person currently responsible for the estate who lives on the road side of the loch. I think the big house on the other side must be unoccupied. There is only walking track access. At least I could see what the landscape is ...
Inverewe and Gairloch
July 28th
The sun didn’t shine, but neither did it rain until late in the day, when as my delightful host said it gave the washing “ a heavenly rinse”.

After the promise ...

He kept saying “I know the name and I can’t remember” . He found something similar on a map, but I think it was too far away
The oldest part of the castle was built in the 1200s and other parts have been added over time, but nothing is dilapidated. One ...
Traumhafter Tag
