... and heºs out too. Iºll stop there, youºve got the picture, this surf donºt suit us!! Bring on Bozzy (Boscombe) artificialdom, we canºt wait to try that new manmade surf reef. From now on weºll stick to the mosh pit weºre used to - one with a live band and a load of exuberant front rowers! Ok, roger for Annabelle, Lymºs going to enlighten you on the rest of the day...

... of "pints" in a sports bar and watched the Brazil v England match. Luckily we were the only couple in there! We wandered around the walled town of Lagos utterly impressed by the consisten beauty and well kept buildings. Lots of tiling and prettily painted doors and window frames on top of the whitewashed buildings everywhere. We decided to eat takeaway pizza, washed down with more beer and a game of pool.

... in to the hostel, and then was planning to drive out to Sagres, the end of Europe. Kirsten and I decided to join him and away we went.
Alex liked to tell us that he wasn't a typical American. He spoke several languages, and had traveled the world. I found him vaguely annoying, but I was still happy to take a free ride from him. A 30 minute drive took us to Sagres. I don't want to bother trying to explain the beauty of Sagres ...

Now I'm feeling a little remote. I'm pretty good at making the best of a situation, and dealing with the resources I have. As I haven't eaten yet today, I search a few of the nearby gardens for a bit of fruit to tide me over. Under the cover of early morning light I find a mature pomegranate tree loaded with fruit. I grab 5 of the plumpest fruits I can find and wander ...

I don't doubt her at all.
She stirs it for a bit with the back of a spoon, until it begins to form a stodgy dough. She works it briefly until it barely comes together, then puts it in a bowl to rise. It hasn't been kneaded at all, and is thick with way too much flour. It looks horrible. I now understand why the bread is always so crumbly, and no one wants to cut it.
She gives me directions to finish the bread

The kiting in Alvor is supposedly one of the best spots in Portugal, because of a huge shallow lagoon, however the wind was in the opposite direction so we ended up kiting on the sea side in the waves. Exhausting, but very fun to launch off the waves. We met a wicked ...
Alvor, Algarve, Portugal sofenjonThe west and south coast of Portugal is pretty much a long stretch of beaches surrounded and separated by huge red cliffs and you can get from one beach to another by crawling through caves in the cliffs (I also think that's where the bums sleep at night...) We did some surfing at a small secluded beach that I had been to 4 years ago with my family. We’re ...
Portimão, Algarve, Portugal sofenjon... Seville, only one price, 29 Euro wherever you go..." a bit like the market place. I wasn't in the mood to argue, as I had been up since 6am and I knew the hotel was 'this' side of town and only about 5 miles away and not in the centre, another two miles or so. There is a bus from the airport but the company website makes it clear that passengers with large suitcases eg me would not be allowed on board. Pity, it was only €2 and stopped almost outside. This IBIS is on the ...
