... came in about 15 min. The ride to the hotel, which is located in downtown Aspen, was about 10-15 min. The last time I was in the area I stayed at Snowmass and decided that this time I wanted to stay downtown so that I could have easy access to restaurants for dinner and be able to walk around and look around the town in the evenings. I chose the Annabelle Inn since it is one of the lower priced options in town and it is in a ...

... people skiing were like pros and even the kids were good! There were some cuties that wouldn't have been older than three taking the lifts up and skiing down by themselves - MAD!! There is a great bar out the front of our hotel that looks out to the slopes called Vega Vega and we indulged in a cocktail or two for happy our after our days skiing.

All in all our ski experience was amazing and totally worth going five star all the way.

    ... magpie nature though.

One surprise for us though was the playing field opposite our hotel. Mind you it was covered in snow but did appear to have Rugby goalposts! They looked like rugby posts but in Aspen? It was officially formed in 1967 by Steve Shurlock, an Englishman who noticed that Aspen, a traditional skiing town, had a ...

1st Nikki Hosp - Austria. 2nd Frida Hansdotter - Sweden 3rd Kathryn Zettel - Austria

After two huge days on the hill it was good to have a quiet evening. A couple of delightful Californian Pinot Noirs in front of the fire was a lovely way to finish one of the most exciting weekends we have experienced. To think we do it all again with the men next weekend in Beaver Creek! Bring it On!!

... is pretty lame and how in really cold conditions I have quite a knack for holding in my pee.

All and all I wouldn't change that trip for anything, Colorado is a beautiful area and getting to spend all that time with good friends, riding horses and seeing wildlife was incredible.
The best of all though was spending quality time with one of my favourite people in the world - my Dad.

What an amazing way to start my travels!
