A 5:30 wake up call (two days in a row now) got us up in time to catch the 7:35 ferry to Calais. A full P&O English breakfast was well deserved. The long autoroute journey began. Once again we were reluctant to leave a place we had fell in love with - Talloires. It really is a place with so much to offer in both summer and winter. We've loved visiting Annecy and Geneva, the lake activity, the outdoors such as waterfall hikes, biking and paragliding and can imagine what fun a family would have there in the winter. ... less expensive than the most I've paid out to date. It is the best hotel in town, right in the heart of the 'downtown' area. It's a good-looking town, which is more than can be said about my hotel room right now. As is common for pilgrims staying in hotels, the bedroom can quickly resemble a chinese laundry.
