... high country. We will be staying one more night in Canada and then should be in Montana by day after tomorrow. We saw some beautiful elk and buffalo herds, but they were fenced in on ranches. Nothing else to write about. Only took pictures of wheat fields today. Sorry about the travelpod yesterday. I was having trouble uploading my pictures and then after sending, I noticed that I sent it twice. Oh well.

... that it's already getting close. But...I can't wait to see my dog on Sunday!

I realized that I haven't put in the mileage travelled each day, so I'm going to update each entry to say that, as we'll be interested in that when we return and read this so we can remember our trip!

We finally made it back to Grande Prairie and are taking a break from the blog until we continue our journey to Europe... we leave on July 23 and arrive in Paris on July 24th!!!! We likely won't be able to write as regular as we were on our U.S ...

... We met the new farm dog, six week old cutie Toby, and triplet calves (a first for the Cassity farm).

We also got Calvin's car road ready after a year of sitting idle for the long drive back to Calgary.

Thursday, July 3 OK, we have been lingering for a week in the Canadian Rockies, which are every bit as beautiful as they are cracked up to be, and now it is time to get back on the road. But we have one more treat in store before leaving Jasper National Park: a visit to the Miette Hot Springs, located near the northeast edge of the park. ... that preparing for it was a little like Iron Chef with everyone cutting something up. Meeting the neighbors and seeing family again was a great end to the week.

And yes, I went into the cow pen this time. The calves were cute, but I'm still a bit leery of the big scary cows. :)
