Once in a lifetime magic happens!
The day started slow, after having a cold from day one I left really sick, and my first response when I opened my eyes was that Johan and the other had to do sightseeing without me, I will meet up with them for dinner. Luckily they did not give up on me, and we went for a late breakfast in the hotel. Champagne, mimosas and a buffet with cereals, cold meats and cheese, fresh bread rolls, fruit, bacon and eggs set the right mood for the day. We decided to just relax ...
First class pig
Trains, trains and trains, this really made us glad that we opted for packing light. We started with a quick ride on the metro, to the end of the blue line, there we walked about a 100 meters to transfer to a regional train for a short 7 minute ride before transferring to the Alfa Pendular, the high speed intercity train that can go up to 220 km/h or 137 mph. SUNSHINE!! wonderful weather! terrasjesweer ;-)

Clearly, gardens are my favourite place to be!!
SUNSHINE today!!!
This makes the day sooooo much better!! Waking up and seeing from my room a beautiful view on the roofs, all in the sun!! ( I do NOT get up before there is light ;-))
Back to my pastelaria to have some bread and coffee (and again see the brave pigeon waking around, this time I could take a picture!!), and then, after passing by some facultades of the ...
Oooh, rainy day! snif sniff...
Good day to travel! Raining in Lisboa, and raining in Coimbra... I came with the train, Alfa pendular, 1:45 hr with speed sometimes up to 200 km/hr, kind of a high speed train, very comfortable. From the railway station to the B&B, 10 min walk, very do-able. But then, my room is at the 4th floor ;-)
B&B a little disappointing, well, I wanted a room for myself, since, after 10 days in a shared room, I wanted to have a full night ...
