... Imodium. This was the first trip into a drug store on this trip, it's one of the last places where we do not feel entirely comfortable - everything is behind the counter, so you really have to deal with the pharmacist, so as long as everyone has been healthy or we brought the drugs with us from home we have had no need to go into an apothecary. Fortunately this pharmacist spoke English so I did not have to get too far into slaughtering Czech with the ...

... our lunch in someone's BBQ come summer shelter shed, no one around so made ourselves at home, we both dozed off to sleep on the bench and I nearly fell off in a deep slumber!! PM - Away we went not expecting what was next, a killer hill climb of 506 metres, straight up with three zig zags! I was even more worried about my leg, which was hurting badly and the redness around the wound did not seem to diminish. With the prospect of 10 days in a remote village I decided to take some precautions and went to the ER. Fortunately, it was a low-accident morning and the doctor on duty, my high school friend, quickly assessed the situation. I was given ...

We were supposed to leave Głubczyce today but Ania and Marek were still trying to get out of Cieszyn's and so we will have to wait for them till tomorrow morning. Bummer!

I didn’t get more than 4 hours of sleep, yet at 7 a.m. my body was ready to jump out of bed. My mind wasn’t though… Coffee helped some but it wasn’t until I found one last chocolate in my birthday box, that I was finally mentally awakened. Chocolate IS good for ...

Our last day in Głubczyce is always reserved for shopping at the outdoor market. For me, not as much shopping as taking pictures because attractions like that have not survived in many places. Local farmers bring their produce every Tuesday and Friday, and the rest of the vendors are there all week long. You can buy almost anything at the market, from food to underwear, while catching a conversation with a merchant from ...
