... boundaries, and all driving after is on city streets. Finally pulled into the neighborhood with the apartment I had rented, and were feeling a little concerned. A neighborhood of large concrete apartment blocks in a region that is borderline industrial. However, once in the neighborhood it is not so bad. We are in a very nice building, on the 10th floor with windows looking back on the old town and Prague castle. Sunset was spectacular (and a good sign, ...

I didn’t get more than 4 hours of sleep, yet at 7 a.m. my body was ready to jump out of bed. My mind wasn’t though… Coffee helped some but it wasn’t until I found one last chocolate in my birthday box, that I was finally mentally awakened. Chocolate IS good for ...

    Shopping and Shooting

Our last day in Głubczyce is always reserved for shopping at the outdoor market. For me, not as much shopping as taking pictures because attractions like that have not survived in many places. Local farmers bring their produce every Tuesday and Friday, and the rest of the vendors are there all week long. You can buy almost anything at the market, from food to underwear, while catching a conversation with a merchant from ...
