... identified most used Doc Martin llcarions over the week. This morning we finished with a visit to Mrs Tyshell's Chemist which is in fact a sweets shop when not a Doc Martin location. Chatted with the owner (Mike Meakins) who shared quite a lot about how the village changes when filming is underway. There are a number of Doc Martin references, stickers and posters in the shop.Mike tells us it takes 7 hrs to transform his shop into a chemist and then they shoot all required ...

... car park and headed northwards back to Port Isaac.
Again frustrated by the narrow laneways about St Kew but eventually home about 17.00 -'just as it was getting dark.
Highest tide so far in the nay resulting in waves crashing onto the slipway and pounding agaimst the rocks protecting waterfront buildings.
Hoping for some similar weather tomorrow although we will not travel beyond Truro - looking forward to afyernoon Musical ...

Heaced east to Charlestown and walked around this historical sailing boat harbour. Found a wonderful Neptune carved from a huge tree trunk and walked past very old stone church. Cottages here namec after the trade of the owner - Wheelwright, The Cooperage, Cobbler, etc.

Weather improved a little later in the day so about 14:00 we set off on a drive to some nearby villages. Surprised nearby Port Quin consisted of nothing but a steep twisting road down into a bay, a few houses and then a similarly steep climb, on now familiar narrow roads, back up to the flatter farming lands.
Have noted a number of wind farms in Cornwall - all with about a dozen ...
