    ... all the time (reminds me of New York City!). But you don't hear horns honking or see hand gestures so it's really a frantic but controlled situation. Everyone drives small cars. They seem to care about the environment having fuel efficient cars, recycling bins everywhere and no trash anywhere. Papa Francesco is starting his Caring for Our Common Home" at home! (By the way that's Pope Francis to you out there who don't know, and he is a big environmentalist). ...

    ... I say it, quite funny to watch !!
    This time, we were individually texted (is that a word?) our appts for the Perugia Questura. Noels appt was at 4:44pm and mine was at 3:27pm. Precisely strange appt times and the appts were a day apart !! Gotta love Italian organisation!!
    However we decided that, as nobody else abides by appt times and you wait for hours anyway , we would both go together same day and early at ...

    ... Assissi. Of course the home of St Francis of Assissi the town is lovely perched atop the mountain But the main attraction is the Upper and Lower cathedrals built for him that house his tomb. Seems they built a gorgeous gothic church but had more funds so built another Romanesque style one on top of it! Lots of priests and monks around ...
