    ... how long it took to make these with such precise detail. They are said to be the best Byzantine mosaics outside of Turkey.
    They have been preserved really well and are still shimmering and glittering in all their glory.

    ... the city. In the afternoon,we rode out to the beach which was 7km always. It was a long ride in the hot sun. We were happy to spend the rest of the afternoon to the early evening relaxing at the beach. That night,we went for dinner in the city center, eating lots of pasta and wine.     ... thought that were up for €97, but we only paid an additional €31. Some of the €25 paid at the info centre must go to the hotel as well. Anyway, all good as we did enjoy staying there.

    ... So we called in there on our way back and indulged. I scored three scoops and Annette two. I probably have two scoops too many! One more story. DT's or speedos for you oldies, is why all males of my vintage wear. Board shorts are not the worn thing. There I go, not in fashion yet again!

    We are now back at the hotel, sitting out the front under the awning using the WiFi. Will post this entry and off to bed. Another big and hot day tomorrow.

    ... swim and where we could leave our gear as the area was filled up with umbrellas and banana lounges that I believe cost €€€. We spotted some rocks on the side so we dumped our towels and hit the water. It is very shallow for about the 30m and then increases to over head height. The top of the water was warm, but underneath was beautifully cool - delightful.
